Tilda is very puzzled about working with Odette. She keeps on looking at Dave for confirmation. But she respects Odette enough not to bounce around or bark while working with her - it really is more work than play.

Tilda working very nicely and calmly and even the distance to the sheep is good here. She normally works much closer.

Getting the sheep to the round pen is normally not very difficult as they are desperate to get in - away from these wolves. But it is tricky to do it the proper way as they really want to go in and are not very willing to wait!

Taffy's work out in the open is very peaceful and the distance is good. He also changes the distance nicely based on how much pressure he thinks there is needed. Only when the direction is changed he every now and then tries a dash for the wool... Which of course is not allowed.

Not Taffy's strongest points. The patience is just not there - he has great difficulties in staying down when asked. He starts to creep closer very carefully and then starts to run around the pen. This happens both in the beginning while practising the outrun and at the end. Like after this picture was taken he had to have one more lap around the pen before he was ready to come to Dave and believe that it really was "That'll do" for this time.

Tilda has just taken the sheep through the shoot. With Tilda it normally works ok. She has the patience to actually come to the end and wait there for the sheep to get through. She also sometimes uses her bark to make the sheep move. The problem area for Tilda is the coming out of the shoot when she thinks it would be a great idea to make the sheep run.

Down with Tilda works again and it must be used quite a bit to make her keep her distance and to calm her down. But it is a fine balance there as well - if she thinks she was down for too long and the sheep have gotten too far she makes a desperate dash towards the sheep to catch up and this of course is not appriciated by the sheep at all.

Lotta's training partner is Amy, Odette's border collie. Apparently a great dog to teach herding as she is not a brilliant herding dog.

Today Taffy had a light lead on him all the time. Just to give Daddy a better chance to grab a hold of him in case he went for the wool and to guide him to the beginning of the shoot, which is really difficult for him.
